Cudrio Sjøbod er idag (2011) en del av Bamble Museum med samlinger fra kystens kulturhistorie. Den antas å være bygd rundt 1700 som sjøbod til nåværende Victoria Gjestgiveri av korn- og saltimportør, trelasthandler og skipsreder Hans Christensen Lund. Cudrio-navnet har den fått etter Jacob Cudrio som hadde eiendommen senere. På 1800-tallet kom den i Havnevesenets eie og mange forskjellige virksomheter holdt til her opp gjennom årene. På 1970-tallet var den rivningstruet og det ble en stor debatt for og imot bevaring av sjøbua. Bevaringskreftene seiret, bua ble fredet og resultatet ser vi i dag. Debatten omkring bevaring av Cudrio Sjøbod og det gode resultatet av restaureringen var av stor betydning for det videre bevaringsarbeidet i byen.

Cudrio Sjøbod (sea shed, house for fishermen’s tools, fish sales men etc),  is today (2011) part of the Bamble Museum with collections from the coast’s cultural history. It is believed to have been built around 1700 as a sea shed for the current Victoria Guest House by grain and salt importer, timber merchant and shipowner Hans Christensen Lund. It got the Cudrio name after Jacob Cudrio, who owned the property later. In the 19th century, it came into the possession of the Norwegian Maritime Authority and many different businesses were based here over the years. In the 1970s, it was threatened with demolition and there was a big debate for and against preserving the sea arch. The conservation forces won, the bow was protected and we see the result today. The debate surrounding the preservation of Cudrio Sjøbod and the good result of the restoration was of great importance for further conservation work in the city.
